The Craft Behind Our Loaf
Our signature country boule is made using traditional European hearth techniques. We mix stone-ground flour with our mature sourdough starter and allow it to ferment slowly across 36 hours. The long fermentation breaks down complex starches, creating a loaf that is gentle on digestion and bursting with subtle lactic acidity and rich caramel notes.
Flavor & Texture
- Crust: Golden-brown, blistered, and crunchy with a prominent scored ear.
- Crumb: Custardy, open, and chewy with great moisture retention.
Serving & Storage
- Best Enjoyed: Sliced thick and toasted, served with salted butter, aged cheddar, or dipped in olive oil and herbs.
- Storage: Store cut-side down on a wooden cutting board for 2-3 days, or in a linen bread bag. Freeze pre-sliced for easy morning toast!
